Portal of Hydrology Research Group @ CNR IRPI
The Hydrology Research Group is focused on understanding hydrological processes in basins through an intense experimental research activity addressed to characterize the spatially varying rainfall and the soil moisture, the parameterization of the infiltration process and the identification of dominant processes in runoff production along with its propagation in natural channels. Our main target is to provide a contribution on hydrological modelling mainly if it is used to extrapolate knowledge in time and/or space beyond the available measurements.
The Hydrology Research Group is composed of four researchers, one technician, six research grant holders and occasionally, highly motivated undergraduates.
The Hydrology Research Group has been involved in the national and international research projects ranging in scale and complexity from basin-scale field studies to integrated modeling and satellite studies of global hydrology.
