A simple code for the comparison of in situ and satellite soil moisture observations. It performs: 1) Temporal co-location, 2) Exponential Filter (Soil Water Index), and 3) CDF matching. The code is written in the MATLAB® programming language and is fully commented. The description of the algorithm can be found in Brocca et al. (2011), Lacava et al. (2012).
