Research interest

The research activities mainly regard:

  1. landslide hazard assessment through the application of physically based approaches;
  2. landslide risk mitigation through naturalistic engineering technical solutions;
  3. effects induced by climate change on the environment and on the territory (landslides and floods);
  4. integration of in-situ measured data and satellite platforms observations for the improvement of hydrological modelling.

Biography

Evelina Volpe was born in Isernia, Italy, in 1986. She received the M.Sc. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from University of Perugia, with a thesis entitled “A geostatistical model for the prediction of shallow landslides at large scale”. In June 2020 she took the title of PhD in Bioscience and Territory from the University of Molise. Since Agosto 2019 she is a Research Fellow at the National Research Council (CNR), Research Institute for Geo-Hydrological Protection (IRPI) of Perugia (Italy).
