Biography
Sara Galeazzi was born in Cattolica (Rimini), Italy, in 1986. She received her M.S. degree in Geological Sciences and Technologies (Hydrogeological Risk programme) from the University of Bologna, in July 2020. Between February and May 2019, she carried out an internship with the Agency for Territorial Security and Civil Protection of Emilia-Romagna region, in Bologna. She then developed her M.S. degree thesis on “Application of a semi-physically based model for the definition of rainfall thresholds for landslide occurrence in the Emilia-Romagna region”. In October 2020 she received a scholarship to carry out research regarding the “Analysis and use of satellite data of rain and water content for hydrological applications aimed at mitigating natural risks”, at the Research Institute for Geo-Hydrological Protection (IRPI) of the National Research Council (CNR) in Perugia.
